Hello,

Get to know Mrs. House-Schwartz

My name is Mrs. House-Schwartz, and I am currently in my second year of pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at SIUE. I am in my second year spring semester, and I am student teaching full-time, attending the classroom Monday through Friday until my graduation in May.
A bit about me: I originally came from Ukraine and moved to the United States in 2009. Teaching has been my dream since high school, a dream that was ignited during my decade-long volunteer work as a Sunday school teacher at my local church.
I  believe that every child deserves access to quality learning opportunities no matter their backgrounds, and this belief fuels my dedication to becoming an elementary school teacher and teaching future generations for many years.

Outside of my studies, I love spending time with my family (including my husband and his family, our two cats, and a dog), also spending time with my friends, getting lost in a good book, and exploring new places.
I also have a deep love for learning and teaching, which is why I enjoy learning about different cultures and languages, which I will share with my students in the current student teaching classroom and my future classroom after graduation. This love for learning increases my teaching experience.

I am excited about the journey I am on and everything that the Elementary Education program at SIUE still has to offer, and the future I have as a future educator. I cannot wait to see the opportunities and challenges that will come my way, and I am committed to making the most of them in my learning and future teachings.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my educational aspirations.
Mrs. House-Schwartz
